Existing DE1 owners can upgrade themselves.

1. They were USD$100 customization option on older v1.44 DE1 models.

# Suitcase v2

The main benefits of this new suitcase version are:

1. bouncier foam, protects the DE1 better. The new foam is the same kind used in bicycle helmets and car bumpers.  It's really the right material for this job.

2. spaces are moulded inside the foam to hold four Decent accessories.

3. A funnel, thermometer, milk jug, puck rake an additional portafilter basket.

4. removable wheels, so no air space inside the carton to crumple

1. countersunk handles, so no air space inside the carton to crumple

2. reinforced corners

3. opens from the top, for faster packing

less wasted internal space means a smaller carton can be used, lowering shipping rates slightly.  Newly designed cardboard carton.

The Suitcase v2 is available for purchase on our website to existing DE1 owners

1. Shipping for the suitcase will be charged (like the DE1 is) at the real UPS/FEDEX rate.

2. Unfortunately, due to high shipping costs, it likely will not be affordable for existing DE1 owners to buy this, as the shipping costs are often more expensive than the suitcase itself.

3. But it will be your choice, if you want to buy it.

4. If you're coming through Hong Kong sometime, that's a great time to buy the Suitcase v2, and then you can fly away with the new suitcase.
