Here is what is new:

1. You can link your de1app to your Decent Espresso Account.

1. A number of "cloud features" are coming in 2024, which will require this.

2. This also ensures that your DE1's serial number is correctly associated with your Decent account. If it's not, our tech support is automatically notified, to help you resolve that.

2. You can submit tech support questions directly from the de1app.

3. Your DE1's serial number is now displayed in the app.

4. Read the Quickstart guide from the comfort of your DE1 Tablet (also in Korean, Chinese, German, French). Also link directly to the cleaning guide from the de1app.

5. New Filter3 Profile for those using the new Filter3 basket

6. DSx2 is in beta, in this version

7. Upload to Visualizer is enabled by default, but won't work until you configure it with your Visualizer user name and password.

8. Martin wrote a plugin to automatically power off the Decent Scale when the DE1 goes to sleep.

Bug fixes:

1. Allow screen saver / cool down to occur if the DE1 is in Refill state. Previously was not allowed.

2. App updates should be much more robust, as failed downloads are now automatically retried.

3. More reliable uploads to Visualizer. Previously an intermittent Internet problem would cause a failure, now uploads are automatically retried.

4. Large log files were causing problems and should not happen any more. Quickly repeating log messages are automatically suppressed, so that a minor problem (say, your DE1 is powered off, your tablet is not) no longer causes huge log files that can fill up your tablet drive.

If this version seems to have less REALLY BIG things in it, that's because Enrique, Damian, Pulak and John are all working on large new projects, which still have several months work needed.

Damian's DSXv2 is a major rethink of the very-popular DSX skin.

Enrique's DYE for DSx2 tightly integrates Describe Your Espresso and DSXv2

Streamline Skin is a co-production between Pulak (design) and John (programming) and is a completely new skin, following the design goals of Johanna's very popular MimojaCafe skin.

these larger projects take more time, and are the focus of the main people working on the de1app.

And separately, Markus' despresso, a native ios app for controlling your DE1, has been making steady progress and is enjoyed by many people as well.
