Easily talk to a Decent Human Being (by phone or video)
For some time now, we've let people chat with us via their favorite service, be it WhatsApp, Instagram, etc… and engage in a live text chat. This is now about half the contacts we get, each day.
The “contact us” button is sprinkled all over the website, on pretty much every page. The photo above is what you see when you click it. You can send us an email, or chat, or schedule a call.
We've always gotten the occasional “can I get a phone call?”, but with time zones and working hours, it can be hard to arrange.
As of today, Paul, Shin, myself and Celine are all on rotation, available for voice (Telephone or WhatsApp) and video (Zoom and Whatsapp) calls.
You tap on what you'd like, pick the topic, and choose an available time from the relevant person's schedule. They'll get an SMS and email, reminding them.
This system is new to us, so I expect it'll be a little rough going at first, as we figure which technology will be used for the call, and how to communicate the Zoom URL, or WhatsApp number, and such.
Especially for technical problems, a quick video call on WhatsApp is an amazingly efficient way to figure out what's going wrong, since you can point your phone right at what you're experiencing.
Many people are used to buying from local resellers, who generally are quite available via the telephone. We think we need to be too, in order to compete successfully with them.
