The Streamline Skin, designed by Pulak and programmed by John, was inspired by Johanna's MimojaCafe.
The goal is “one tap to do everything you normally need to”. Simplicity and speed. Though it might look minimalist, it took 14 months for Pulak and John to complete this: simplicity is difficult!

Streamline Skin is available in a Light and Dark Mode. To try it out, go to Settings->App->Skins :
Here is what the two variations look like:
If your DE1 does not have a Group Head Controller, a set of buttons appears on the right side:
Here is what each chart line means:
You can quickly switch between 5 favorite profiles by tapping its button.
Long-tap a button to clear it:
and then long-tap a cleared button to set it, such as my choosing “Extramundo Dos!”
Note that you can also set a profile favorite from the “PRESETS” tab by tapping one of the 1-2-3-4-5 buttons on the bottom left of that page.
Long press the SLEEP button to exit the DE1app. A short tap will put the DE1 to sleep.
If you enable the DYE extension, a DYE button will appear:
Streamline has a simpler visual mode, where the controls on the left, and the data on the bottom, are hidden.
Tap on the chart to cycle between Zoomed and Normal modes:
The top line shows you vital statistics, including the currently loaded profile, whether your DE1 is heating, current time, your water tank level, and current weight. If your bluetooth scale is not connected, tap .
Since the Zoomed mode does away with the left-hand-side controls, the data line in Zoomed mode has two lines, to show you the vitals you've now hidden:
If you enable the Graphical Flow Calibrator extension, you can easily set a flow calibration setting for each profile you use.
Tapping the “Calib” value will show you Graphical Flow Calibrator:
Your past espresso shots are displayed on the chart. You can cycle between them by tapping the arrows next to the word HISTORY. Long press the arrow to go the oldest or most recent espresso.
The data chart breaks your espresso into 3 stages: preinfusion, extraction, and total.
Explanation of the above chart:
Everywhere in Streamline, you can tap on a number:
and type using a full-screen keyboard:
You can +/-, or enter a temperature, for your espresso brew temperature. Every step will be adjusted to the relative change. For example, if your espresso starts at 92ºC and then drops to 88ºC, and you change the temperature to 90ºC, then the ending temperature will be reduced by -2ºC.
Tap a preset temperature to load it, or long tap on a preset temperature to save your current temperature to that preset.
Typically useful steam times are given in the presets. Tap the Time | Flow label to switch between editing each.
A steam time of zero will turn the steam heater off, to lower your electrical consumption and speed up the time-from-off-to-ready.
Sensible steam flow rates are given in the presets:
You can set the flush time, hot water temperature and water volume dispensed. If you have a bluetooth scale attached, it is used to give you a precise water volume.
