Some notable things:

the new drip tray cover has 2 centrally placed, welded bars.

This greatly increases stiffness, levelness and improves fit onto the ceramic drip tray

The bars are a cup-placement centering guide, since the bars are directly under the portafilter basket.

metal fittings with washers, both straight and 90º, for the new ceramics.

a side draining hole option, for people who want to put a scale underneath the draining drip tray, and a tray reaching around. Previously the center draining hole prevented putting a scale under the center of the draining drip tray. Like this sort of thing:
